The dining room of Le Sereno is captured under a vaulted thatch room with timber buttresses that frame a wrap-around terrace and head-on views of Grand Cul de Sac that make you forget all about the infinity-edge pool. An airy and fashionable décor comes from Christian Liaigre and is a mix of floating banquettes and demure tables with canvas director-style chairs that lend a tailored but relaxed style. Outside is a wooden terrace among swaying palm trees and sandy beach that’s convenient overflow for more tables during busier holiday weekends.
The Food
New for the 2013 season, restaurateurs Jonas and Alexandra Millan add this starry dining room to their line-up of award-winning eateries that include St. Barth’s Bonito and Juvia in Miami. The result is a locally influenced menu with nodes of Asian and French flavors infused in seasonal presentation of small and large plate dishes. Appetizers include eggplant chips with tzatziki, terrine of foie gras and wagyu short-ribs with parsnip purée. Sushi selections from sashimi to urban cut rolls better poolside than for formal dining, followed by a delectable caramelized sea bass with eggplant caviar, tropical bouillabaisse or squid ink risotto.
